Shark tank updates

People keep similar sized sharks such as a bamboo in much smaller tanks with less filtration.

Just because people do that, doesn't mean it's right for the animal. The animals we keep can't tell us what size tank and filtration they need. We have to know what's right vs. wrong for them.

I hope you take into consideration what others have told you about what you are about to do.

Please, it's all about the animals.

LOL...not to mention that I'm pretty sure somebody that went to Cornell is probably capable of spelling necessary correctly...

Another one that thinks he is so smart. Why did you capitalize I in i'm. What is LOL? Why the ... At the end of the statement, is there more comming? Is your thought not complete? It doesn't make you smart if you are able to find a few spelling errors in a post.

Lol the sign for your control room looks like a 5 year wrote it. Penmanship and consciousness for marine life are not your strong points.

Not many comments about the animals. Just a bunch of post padding. I just did the calculations and I have just over 7,000 gallons. The depth ranges from 5 feet to 7 feet. What shark do you think will be good? I am willing to get a tropical species, not only cold.

As someone who has designed, built and operated sharks tanks much larger than what your are attempting - everything you've talked about it incorret to this point.

If you REALLY want to pull this off, you need to scrap everything you've laid out in this thread, talk with someone who has done this before and find out the RIGHT way to go about setting up a saltwater pool for sharks.

PS - There is no such thing as a 'sand shark'. Learning about sharks a little more would be a great Step #1.

My penmanship got me a masters degree and almost finished my doctorate. I see your strong point is post padding. Isn't the girl in you profile picture to young for you. Maybe you will get you 15 mins of fame on to catch a predator.

im pretty sure this guy is building a real shark pool. i dont think he plans on putting sharks in it for another few years though. might be smart to pm him and pick his brain.

Was that diploma signed with crayons

Yeah borrowed them from your 8 year old girlfriend in the picture. If you want to know about my hand writing I had nerve damage done to it when my vechile got hit by an IED. I had about 25 pieces of shrapnel from a 1980's soviet artillery piece and debris from the earth launched into my arms. Some of the frags are still there. Now are you that big of jerk off to make fun of disabled veterians? I think you are.

Anyone else picturing this guy showing up to the local public pool with two signs and a camera? Lol

I will be the one who states the obvious about your video. That water was not just pumped in from the sea. No way. And since you stated yesterday it was only 3/4 full and the pump was too loud to run at night, how is it suddenly full and clear? There is no way sea water would be that clear just after being pumped in. It took 2 days for the water to clear in my 220. Also there is no way you pumped in water without sand and it would be all over the bottom of the pool.

You need to get a life. I seriously doubt the local YMCA is going to appreciate sharks in thier pool. My bs meter is maxed out.

I seriously hope you aren't pretending to be a disabled VETERAN....

This post was hilarious until now. I, as an Army wife and proud American, am offended by this deeply.

I certainly hope you are being truthful about being a disabled Vet. That is something myself and other Vets take very seriously.

how is this thread still open?

the lulz have been abundant until the claim of being a disabled vet. if that isn't true, fishphish69, YOU SUCK.

Wouldn't really concider myself disabled, but I suffer nerve damage and have a shaky hand and less strength. Nothing to complain about. Just gets old hearing about my handwriting.

According to Wikipedia there is http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sand_shark.

I saw your cylinder shark tank on another fourm. What kind of filtration does it have? It was an awesome tank. Is the filtration my only issue or water volume also?
