Should I be concerned about my C. Potteri's diet?

My Potters Angelfish doesn't seem to eat anything but dried algae. I've tried Mysis, Brine, Formula 1, Krill, Dwarf Angel formula foods. All of these don't seem to interest him at all. Will a diet like this pose a problem in the future?

Well, at least it is eating. That's something to work with!
Have you tried Live foods? Mussels or clams in the shell?
Most importantly, does your tank have productive LR? That is where most Centropyge angels seem to get their nutrition, at least before they learn to eat prepared foods.

Sincerely,
Matthew

Yes, I have a copious amount of live rock in my 55 gallon (at least 65 lbs). He picks at it, but I have noticed that his color contrast seems to be fading. His coloration is almost turning into a uniformly pinkish orange coloration. Then again, I don't have metal-halides and can't view the fish as he was at my LFS.

What worked for me was feeding the tank small portions twice a day. Mysis, spirulina brine, formula 1 & 2 and NLS pellets. Cut the shrimp cubes in quarters and soaked in garlic extreme. Also added two of drops of garlic extreme to the tank each morning before going to work for about 3 days. The first time I saw her eat was when I accidently left my pumps on and the movement may have caught her eye because she pounced and ever since she just eats like a pig. Not sure what the variable was but hope some of this helps. I got mine from LADD which may have also helped. Was the fish easting when you bought it?

If it is taking the dried algae and picking the LR so it is doing fine so far. Just keep offering him a mixed of frozen and dry food like greech said. How big is the Potters? If it is 2" or so they are much quicker eater then larger 3"+ ones.
