Show Me Your Aquascaping

Cool aquascaping. Are the rocks just stacked on each other or are they attached.

The rocks are just stacked on each other. I can't keep my hands out of the tank so I could never attach anything. The flat rocks are on the bottom and it seems the others fit like puzzle pieces so everything is stable.

Silly kat !

When I set my tank up, I didn't test anything for about two months. Then I took a sample to my Fish guy and he tested it for me.

It was all good, so I starte buying. The only thing I didn't buy were my own test kits. I STILL don't own any test kits, and I've only had him test my water twice in the past year, after major power outages that lasted more than 24 hours.

I think poeple are too paranoid about testing. I can tell if something is out of whack by quickly having a look at my corals.

I had a 65 set up a few years ago.. I had sooo many problems with it. I guess I'm really paranoid about this one. :eek2: What is the coral at the very top of your tank that looks like an anemone?

Great looking tank. Do you have an earlier pic of your aquascaping. Also, how many pounds of LR did you use.

The live rock has kind of been added in slowly.....the more corals i bought, the more rock i had to buy to place them somewhere !

This is the origional rock structure, that has been added to. (These rocks haven't moved since)

That's my torch coral. The tenticles on that thing are 6inches long!

Nice tanks Toddrtrex! You REALLY like those fancy carpets! Nice tank Michelle!

Thanks a lot Steve. I am addicted to the darn things -- the main reason I set up the cube.

Yeah, I could tell. There is a wonderful grotto just perfect for yet another carpet. What color?

Got a striped mint green one on Wednesday, but it isn't looking too hot.

PoukieBear...Awesome tank!

What is your lighting.. and if it is T5s, by any chance, what is your bulb combo?

Thanks!

Here's my attempt at re-scaping my 180 pentagon. I had the "old" rock wall style before and wound up drilling holes in my rock and stacking on a frame of 1/2" pvc tubing. Here's a pic of the original rock work

Here's a couple pics of the re-scaped rockwork with islands and towers:

WOW. Great shots of your development Just Dave. I really like the way you sloped your rockwork- makes for a very aesthetically pleasing scape.

All of the posted tanks are inspirations. Thank you ladies and gents.

You can't tell from the pictures but the tank is 6 feet front to back.

I love the island look you have there ! I should have done the same thing with my GSP....given it it's own island. Now i have uber aintenance to keep it where it' supposed to be, and not smother my other corals.

Yes, I"m runing T5's. A friend of mine at Aquatinics built me this lighting system. I'm running two regular actinics, one supper actinic, one regular day light, and two supper crisp days.
