gary..i bought some of your mini carpets about 2 years ago..they are doing awesome. i bought 4 and have 20 now! where did you get that green mca? i have only ever seen the ones with the color of the ones i originally purchased from you.

I just read this tread, and im wondering if this little ear ( anemone) is 1 aswell could you guys help me id it ?

It is really small but it acts like a anemone, it can walk and if it gets food it forms a ball. The colours are really pink and green.

i bought the stone with the starpolyps and ( these hitchhikers for 5 euro's )

Sry i come from the netherlands ( my english isnt that great). I bought the stone for the uhm starpolyps that are on it. After i put them in the tank, i see these 2 in the middle of the starpolyps. So i pulled all the starpolyps from the stone, to give these 2 more space. ( on the photo you see the biggest 1, their is a smaller one on the left side on the photo).

Could you give me more info on what a MCA is ? ( or perhaps the dutch word for these typ of anemone)

MCA = mini carpet anemone

these are basically small anemones that are very similar to the larger carpet anemones. however, based on the experience of others, it appears they dont have the intense lighting requirements as the large carpets. they will eat silversides and other foods. based on my experience, they will get to be about 2" in diameter and then split into two, sometimes three anemones.

if you google "mini carpet anemone" you will find enough info to read for days.
