Show off your large reef tank FTS

Tom,
I ran across your TOTM again. I think its one of the best displays out there. The way the tank and cabinetry tie into the room is just perfect.
Do you have a thread with updated pics? Thanks for the link, too!

Markus is simply following the advice I gave years ago to another huge tank owner:lol:

"Be sure and wear a speedo lest tangs nest in your britches"

Jarhead,

all the fish disapear and hide in the rocks when I am in the tank:D

Lucky you don't have any eel or puffer
- yes, but I have a single premnas who is frequently trying to attack my arms, when I am placing corals in the tank or doing some other work inside....;)

regards

Markus

Maroons are pretty aggressive. I had a bicolor dottyback that would beat up fish 4x his size. Mean little guy had to go.

here's my 600 gallon cesspool at 1.5 years ;)

Thanks for the compliment. I was pleased with the way things turned out . Unfourtantly my wife got a job transfer about a year ago and the tank was torn down and everything was sold. However, the story does have a happy ending for I got to expand my hobby to an even larger set up. This time around I'm going sps. The new tank is about 420 gallons with a 8"L x 3"W x 28"H footprint. Here is a recent shot. I'm still adding corals and filling in the space. I'm at the 8 month mark right now.
