Show Off your prop System!

Jdiek, Wow looks great man! Quiet the organized equipment set-up too!

Just Dave: Look awesome! Your using those fancy reflectors eh? Looks great! How do you like the light distribution and what kind of lights to you have, im guessing they are 400W 20K's?

I'll have pics of my lame tank today lol.

Two per tank would be better but they do a pretty could job with coverage as is. The tanks are 48x24x17 and the bulbs are 400w XM 20Ks.

Just Dave: Hehe awesome I was right on the lights(ok I didnt guess the brand lol, but thats what im getting to replace my 10K XM cause im getting rid of my PCs). If you had gone two per tank would you have reduced to 250 Watters instead?

\This was my old propagation system before I moved from the eastern seabord to the land of no basements. Man, not having a basement really cramps my reefing style!!!!

THis is an EASY set up and doesn't take too much time to set up. In the big picture it is relatively cheap.

3 rubbermaid containers, PVC, 3 bulkheads, cinderblock and a pump.

Unfortunaltey, I sold all of it to a guy before the move, b/c I would have had no place to put it:( I will be placing a propagation tank off of my exhisting system.

No.

Because I wanted the intensity of the 400w bulbs. Two 250w units would give better coverage but with less intensity.

Sweet any close ups?

Not much room between the front and the system behind(hard to take a pic because I can't look through the view finder) but here is a pic. of some of the SPS. Most are made because they were broken in shipping or because of impending contact between some in display. I don't frag them as much as I do the softies.

I buy mine from a guy on N-R.com. He sells 4 for $2 and they have an end part that sticks in the egg crating. they are awesome. Or you can buy 50 for $18

Dave, nice corals you got there, SPS and Zoos!

Im upgrading my 15g to a 28g I just got for FREE, WOOT! I'll take a pic of the 15 soon though lol.

Hehe, yeah well good thing is all I need to buy is a return pump(probably just a MJ1200 or a Hagen 402/802) and since I already have a couple other powerheads it would be fine. I guess I have to buy a MJ600/900 for my DYI skimmer too but thats it. I already have the rock/eggcrate and all that stuff lol.
