That's pretty spicy... but I think I may be able to swing it as long as 2009 doesn't suck as bad as 2008 did.

We have a ways to go before my tank will be ready for new inhabitants though.
 
He is in a 55g QT...at 4" he is pretty happy for the time being. So far eating flake, frozen cubes, pellet, mysis, and squid. Absolutely my favorite fish.

Absolute favorite until you decide to put in another expensive addition after he is established......then seeing him unleash his true underlying nature will make you question that last statement:lol: .

Could you imagine? The face from the blueface and the body of the clarion?? It could be fun...

The clarion is doing awesome. He has been on prazi for the last week and a half. I dosed a couple of times just to be safe. I have not seen any head shaking or wierd movements from him.

How is your big boy doing?

He's doing great. Eats everything that I drop into the QT. He's on his second and final Prazi treatment. I think he's going to go live in my 175 with the Tinker's Pair and the Joc. CrisC has been pushing me to put him there. He should look nice against the black sand bottom!

Though.... I'm still tempted to let him live with the Crosshatches. Can you tell that I'm undecided?

You finally moved the Joc? I think once you get him in that bowfront, we need a FTS!

The xhatches would be cool, but may not work out. My male xhatch was scared sensless of my big emperor and was tossed to one side of the tank. Eventhough they are triggers, they have the temperment of a tang.
 
Sadly, yes. I had to evict him from my reef. He developed a taste for gigas mantle. I pulled him and put him in the bow front.

Good point about the triggers.... they really are puppy dogs. My male likes to hang with my Emperor.

Maybe I just need another tank? :)

With the new stand on the 175 and the rock work redone, an FTS is probably in order. The Clarion should be landing there in about a month. That gives him about 8 weeks of QT.

I have a small pair of crosshatches in mith my claroin, conspic, and gem tang. No one pays any attention to the other. They all just avoid the emperor (whose name is king a-hole).
