That 'bumblebee' watchman (a name for fish #3 I just made up) is very cool. Do you know what that last fish in your post is Tim?

Tim, the P guyanensis is found really deep, I've looked for them and never seen one shallower then 260 ft. They are tough to bring up to the surface from that depth.

you dive at 260feet???
:eek1:

Nice shot of your trigger!. Okay found some more pics of some real beauties. Take a gander at these gems. Regards, Tim

Tim,

Great pictures! It would be helpful if you could identify the fish in the photographs and respectful to cite your sources.

Thanks,

Well sorry for not citing them. Didn't know I was writing a thesis. They were found on the web. I'm not selling these fish or their pictures. Tim

I'm just curious to know the history behind them and maybe even find some more pictures or information, that's all. No offense intended...

Don't stop posting!

Wow nice Tim, You bought a Sunset?

Don't know why they called them wrasses, they are like Candycane hogfish right?

Tim, I have a pr (don't know if they are male/female pr, but they were together) of black bar drums (4th photo down, first post), I collected them in about 160 ft of water off the coast of FL in West Palm Beach. They get ugly as they get older.

No I did not buy a pair of sunsets. Yes they are not wrasses but hogs. Bodianus. That fish really doesn't do much for me. As far as the drums, they are rather rare at that size. I have never seem them for sale. One of those cutties that grow up to be ugly. Hmmmm reminds well of ...... me! Tim

dude.......check out the juvi C.Debelius and L. Mowbrayi (full pink basslet).......

alright guys its all of your responsibility to sponsor me as your rare fish embassador! I'll even due the A.Kingi justice!

Tim, the only time the drums are caught is at that size, the adults live deeper then safe diving limits. As far as hogs go, they are in the same family as wrasses, Labridae.

first is earlei anthias (found a lot of places but do very poorly in captivity) I get them from christmas sometimes. The second is a flasher of some sort (and a beauty at that)

Clippertons are possible this next few months...it depends on the market interest vs. the cost of fuel and logistics.
Any interest here besides the knee jerk response about the Japanese market [ already on board]?
Steve
