I really like the concept, are you going skimmerless? That’s quite common among nanoreefers.

Compared to the ocean, mine is a nano.


Your real deficit without a skimmer is gas exchange. Nutrient export can be achieved with WC but the gas exchange is going to probably require a lot of surface agitation to compensate for considering you don't have an overflow box either.

Not a problem, just a design consideration you may want to entertain.

Yup, you hit it right on. I wasn't sure this was going to work until I setup my 25gal and most of what I'll be doing is based off that build.
 
Worked on my stand last night. Hard to do things like this with two kids awake, so ending up finishing around 1:30AM last night.
