Siptang's 72g bow front.

Thanks for the kind words.
Honestly, it looks like how it is because of many great members here.
Please look at the beginning pictures to see what I mean lol.

Tray, marvin, eddie, mark have all been super generous with frags for super great prices and very great about schooling me so I don't kill everything. I suggest if you want to jump start a reef tank that you visit them. I also heard that Josh (porkchop sandwich) has amazing zoa collections for super great prices.

I haven't updated in a while so here it goes.

Full tank shot.

Hammer I had for a bit (thank you again tmurlney) but now it's growing more heads! Always very exciting when you notice the growth of your corals.

I still suck at taking pictures and when I visit Josh soon, he will school me the art of taking pictures of your corals lol.

Thank you for your kind words. I'm thoroughly a noob about them still though. I'm still learning more about them, names, types and mostly prices lol.
I'm still "oh that's pretty. what is it? it costs WHAT?!?!" yea, that's me.

I just know enough to keep my water clean, and have good flow and lighting. I have been so lucky to have so many members near me to assist me whenever I mess up lol.

Thank you very much guys. I was always scared that I woukd kill my corals so all of my corals have been 10 to 20 dollar frags from various fmas members and some how they have been responding well to me so I'm extremely pleased. I still have a way to go because I can't get polyp extensions from my acros at all like other people.

One thing I noticed was if I get frags from people's tanks, it seems to fare better the store bought.
And thank you for over looking my crappy photo taking skills hahaha. Its purple world in my camera.

Dude- your doing a great job. Keep it up. Hopefully your learning here and from all our members.

One thing I noticed was if I get frags from people's tanks, it seems to fare better the store bought.

Regretfully I agree with you Richard. Ive been doing this for a very long time, and notice the same pattern, unfortunately. I wish I had an educated rationale behind it, but dont.

Eddie, you have no idea. Well you do lol. I have learned so much from tray, mark, you, Marvin and co its crazy. Notice how I ask so many questions when I visit you guys? I have my thinking cap on lmbo.

Im really proud of how things look less then a year since I seriously dove into the reef business.
I think there are many variables when it comes to discuss why store bought corals
doesn't do well as the ones that are bought from the hobbyists.

From the wild vs raised in captive. I think raised from tanks will so much better because of its used to being in tanks.
Stress from crappy water conditons and stress from lfs. (Bad shipping to bad water to bad placement to bad lighting)
I think list goes on but in the end, corals from fellow hobbiests are cheaper, more durable imho.
Also they are way more knowledgeable then sales reps at lfs.
