if there's eggcrate between the rock and the glass (bottom) you should remove it IMO

eggcrate is zip tied on top of pvc frame. Frame elevates LR around 3" off bottom.
LR is drilled and zip tied to pvc/eggcrate.

this is an unusual arrangement.

I'd be surprised if I were the first experienced reefkeeper to question where you got the idea for it.
