Smoothdog's 150DD build

How old is little Smack? Sounds like you guys had a great time. Thank GOD for handy folks like D Smack and others that help us folks with limited skills:thumbsup:  I owe my whole system to the likes of capncapo, Lost Marbles, Ocean View, fade, chadfarmer, Logik, reefer96 and countless others that gave me advice, support, corals, etc. This is a great club:D

Lil' smack is 8 and my boys are 9, they really hit it off while we were getting things done.

Agreed! This club always bands together to help get things done!

Very impressive! Is the new tank going in the same location as the old tank, albeit a larger footprint? What are you planning to do with your livestock during the move?

This is a great club, extremely helpful members and a very active calendar throughout the year - which helps keeps things interesting.

Thanks guys!

Yep, the new tank is going in the same location, however if things go as planned, it will be view-able from all 4 sides. All coral and livestock will go in the frag tank, water change tank, and sump/fuge until the new floors are installed, new stand is built and the new tank is set up.

Looks great, this has been a fun build! We have some talented people here for sure:)

Thanks Nook! I'm hoping to keep things rolling and interesting. As long as nothing crazy happens and the budget hold out I should be good.. ;)

I had some glass left over from the sump baffles so I cut it down and made a low profile overflow for the 40B frag tank. The silicone is curing now. I'll try to get some pics up soon.

Drilled a couple more holes last night:

And more plumbing, at least until I realized yet another A-hole put a 3/4" union back in the 1" union bin. You would think I'd learn by now to carefully inspect EVERY pvc part I get at HD. I mean, how hard is it to put something back in the right bin!? -end rant-

This would be done if HD were open @ 11PM:

Oh, and here's the overflow pic I promised:

Looks awesome, Smooth! Looking forward to Pizza Night at your house to see that setup.

They dont have them over here. They used to carry the grey ones but no more. Are they by the quest fittings.

All the home depots I go to have them on the board all the random fittings are rivited to. It's a limited selection but usually you can make something work.

Got the barb fittings at HD like Vic said. Lowes carries them also. At hd they are usually one aisle over from the pvc fittings near the vinyl tubing.
