snails on clam shell?

I just added quite a few astrea snails yesterday, and now there are a few cleaning the outside of the shell of my derasa. Is this okay? If it's not okay, how can I get them to stop?

It's OK, and you can't get them to stop.

If the snails get too near the flesh of the clam, it'll shut itself. Mine have been living together for almost a year now.
