So I bought this anemone.....

Once again I bought an anemone and I would like an ID. It was labeled as a green bubble tip. The store workers had never seen bubbles on it. It was listed at the wholesalers as a purple base anemone. As I hope the pictures show, it has a purple base with green tenacles that change to a lighter green/yellow at the tips. Mouth seems to be tight. I have it in a hospital tank being treated with cipro. It is maybe 3 inches across.

I just noticed that the anemone has white lines radiating from the mouth. It has been mostly bunched up. Maybe it is a bubble tip.

Judging from your description, its a green bubble tip. Despite its name, Not all rbta and gbta will have bubble tips.

There are only very few nems that have been identified in the reef hobby, its probably less than 5. Even some of the so-called rainbows arent really rainbowsssss. Leds playing tricks or hobbyists are looking to double down.

It is a BTA. The white line from the mouth, in addtion to the rest of the picture is what ID it as a BTA

Thanks Minh and ali1. It was the purple base that led me into thinking it might be something else. I hadn't seen the white lines when I originally posted!
