so tell me what u think about my set-up for keepin sps

I would also add some hose clamps to where the plastic tubing slips on to the fittings. You would hate it if the pressure of the pump pushed the hose off of the slip on fitting, boy what a mess!

man mark, i hope i dont here this pump like the way u heard pauls lol that wouldnt be too good since its in my front room

yeah i was guna shott to the depot to grab some hose clamps that would not be fun if one of those shot off would be a big mess on my hardwood floors thats for sure

Justin, did you put anything under your tank, like foam? Sorry if you posted it in one of your other threads.

Oh sure, now you suggest it:lol:

sure did i put a 3/4" high density foam under the tank between the glass and the stands top to help aleviate any peaking or valleys in the plywood itself

is this what ur talkin about??

:D

That's what I'm talking about Justin.

Go back to your Indian burial ground Mark! :D And how come you didn't suggest putting water in my tank yet? No one tell's me anything!

yup yup got the foam all taken care of!

lol yeah get a move on your tank Ken id help u out if u were a lil closer but a 12 pack always is a good bribe lol

anyways i filled the tank up with fresh water tonight to give it a practice run....! only one small leak where the exit is from the Dart pump it wasnt screwed in tight enought but it was a slow drip... just needs to be turned a lil more luckily i have a union right there so i can take it off and twist it tighter...

other then that ntohing else leaked no bulkheads no other joints nothing!

the pan world pump was very quite a slight hum but nothing bad at all.... the OM unit worked great! ill take some pics in a few and post them with the water shooting out seems like its guna be a lot of flow in this tank!

the Dart pump u couldnt even hear it barely when kneling down right next to the pump i was surprized that its so quite and it can move so much water....

i think i choose some good stuff all seems quite and to work great together.... ill have to wait to see how the skimmer and reactor works later thought but it should be up this weekend after this test run!

the pan world did flow a lot! i had a hose on in the sump area and the pan world was emptying the sump fastger than the hose would fill it so i may have to t it up

well heres a shot with the closed loop on like i said i really like the combo here seems like its going to make a great flow in the tank from the 2 different angles turning on and off theres little floaties in the water right now and the whole tank was moving around the water wasnt still anywhere in the tank but it wasnt overkill

i dont have a shot of the sump return coming back inot the tank but those 2 1/2" returns shoot pretty far using the pan world pump

cant wait to get it set up this weekend!

yeah i sure do think its a nice tank

yeah if i woulda known before what i know now i woulda gone bigger but even with the 1" holes it seems to flow alot!
