I just realized how dirty my 'hair dryer' light is while I was taking pictures. When I clean it, Ill try to take some pics of the inside, so you can see how it goes together.

Sure, I'll make up a print and post it. I'll try do get to this tomorrow at work :)

I wanted to do this myself, but LEDs do not handle heat very well. The hair dryer gets pretty darn hot. If the LEDs lasted two or three years instead of ten years, that would not be too bad.

These have been running for over a year. A friend of mine is an electro-nerd and ran them for me. He used one of these http://www.drsfostersmith.com/product/prod_display.cfm?c=3578+3733+12760&pcatid=12760
Un-soldered the leds from the circuit board and ran wires to link them up. Sorry, I dont have pictures of the process

I got a koralia#1 powerhead on the side glass, I would like to transfer it to the back panel right on the center chamber would it be ok for the magnet to be on wet conditions?

It's ok for the mag side to be wet on Koralias. FME - You may want more flow than a K1 depending on what corals you are keeping. :D

do you guys use the dosing pump to supply CA and KH? 2parts or kalk. I am choosing one of this to dose. Any concern to dose the kalk in such small tank?

speaking of mods....does anyone know how to build a tree like structure to hang the Tek T5 unit over the tank?

Something like this but with PVC

You can use electrical conduit like I did. I used 3/4" and I think it looks great. Here is a pic:

Don't mind the silver uprights. I have since painted them black and I am waiting on black endcaps to get here.

Yes you can get it at Home Depot. You will need 3/4" EMT conduit which is about $4.00 per 10 ft. piece. You will need 2 pieces. You will also need a3/4" conduit bender. If you take your measurements with you you can ask one of the guys there if you can use one there to make the 2 simple bends or you can buy one ($40) and if you are careful with it return it when you are done. For a 90 degree bend in 3/4" you will have to subtract 6" from the length you want the horizontal arms and line that mark up with the arrow mark on the bender. It will all make more sense when you see the bender. Hopefully there will be someone there that knows how to bend conduit and can give you a hand.

That is a great idea, do you have any close ups of how you attached the light to it? and where did you order the caps from?

Thanks

Is there the link to show how to remove the magnet from Tunze 9002 skimmer? I got it in front of me, looking for a good way to remove it.

No link, but I used a hacksaw all around about 1/2 inch in, then used a flathead screwdriver to pry it off. Sounded like I was breaking something, but I didn't.

I'll try to get some more detailed pics up tomorrow. I ordered the caps from Grainger. Here's a link to what I ordered. They had to special order them in.

Is the magnet clued all over or just the edge? I saw someone post the pictures here.... I will try to use the dremel rotary drill

dremel works, cut around then as aklee mentioned, use the screw driver lifted a little bit, then I used the hacksaw slowly cut the rest of it.

Next question is what you put under the skimmer to reach the correct water level? I used the magnet but the skimmer tilted slightly.
