I never said I didn't read the entire post, I did.
Apparently I didn't clear anything up for you. Oh well.

As for where you post because you it makes you feel better, you seem to be doing a pretty good job of rubbing long standing members over there the wrong way too. Congrats.

Wow so you admit I rubbed you the wrong way, and you got all defensive about it and started in on me...its nice to see you are learning from your own flaws. Denial is not good. Admitting you have this problem is a great start. I'm proud of you.

My you have a vivid imagination and a very liberal interpretation of the English language. On second thought, why should I deny it any longer. You got me. You figured me out. Thank you for helping me realize my flaws and steer me in the right direction. Since you are so great and knowledgeable I will simply quote you to bring all of this to a close.

Nice post edit. Does it always take you a few tries to get all of your jabs in or am I just so special you feel you need to keep adding them?

And before you bring up the one post I did edit it was to change the word "to" to "the" in a sentence.

You're reaching now dude...hahahaha...

Maybe you should edit more of your own posts, cause I really don't know what a "worm fuzzy feeling" is...?

Please try to speak from experience rather than the worm fuzzy feeling you feel from spending money on something that you have no experience with in the real world.

Has anyone done a DIY rockwall for the back of their solana? Any pictures??

I've seen one, somewhere, not sure if it was here or another forum, let me see if I can dig it up. It looked good after it was all algae covered.

Use one of the pieces that have been cut and "Epoxy" it to cover the hole left by the orignal skimmer pump. Next cut the clear acrylic or get some new stuff from HomeDepot to make the sides of the box and seal it all up. I used epoxy for the whole process but I am sure silicone will work as well.

The last thing I did was cover the whole thing in "Plasti Dip" for extra protection.

I do not want to fuel the fire on this issue, and am not trying to bash anyone, but educate. I noticed that reefinsocal used epoxy to glue the acrylic. This is not the right glue to use for the job and is asking for a leak. It will not seal very well to acrylic. I have no idea how well "Plasti Dip" will stick to acrylic. I am all for DIY and would probably make one myself, as I have acrylic and the proper acrylic solvent handy. In this case I hate to say, I think the $32.00 investment may have been worth it. I hope I am wrong.

reefinsocal, if you want to make another one I have the proper solvents and I am in OC if your close by.

:hmm2:

This is good information to add here.
I hope you're wrong too, for his VorTech's sake, it would suck to have a $5 DIY project ruin the $295 MP20. Hopefully with your added information its not too late and can be fixed. Are there any other known issues with using epoxy?

this is my diy reef wall in my solana with two pieces of live rock. this pic was taken within weeks of adding water.

i'm picky when it comes to clean looks. i love how i can hide all of my power heads. the rock is very easy to chisel and shape when dry. if you notice i have a korolia 1 and 2 in the wall with the power cord coming up behind the wall. i think it will look great when it has corals hanging off everywhere. thanks for the feedback.

i'll have to check my pics i'm not sure if i do or not. if not i can take one tonight and post it. the wall fits exactly on the back...top to bottom, side to side.

the only real live rock are the three little pieces right in front, the small slab on the sand bed and the two pieces coming off. the wall is all one piece.
