This point and shoot doesn't have any special modes like that. I simply adjust white balance manually, put it in macro mode, and shoot. All pictures are through the front or side glass of my Solana. I move everything I want to take pictures of as close to the glass as I can.
Also, as said a few times before, all pictures are taken under LED's, so this isn't what the corals look like 24/7, but obviously what they look best under for pictures ;-)

Wow really nice pics. Nick is a nice guy... Looks like you got some others from my neck of the woods (Socal)? I have a few polyps of the paradise as well are they from zoagirl? Mine are from her. Where do you have them placed in your tank?
I'm quite addicted to zoas and palys myself. Those Rastas look great they are on my wish list. Keep the pics coming!

I get my stuff from pretty much everywhere. Most are definitely local, but I have also ordered from "vendors" in Cali.
Rastas and Paradise came from a guy back in MI (where I used to live). Where he got them from I don't know. I will try to see how far back I can trace them.
I have gotten a few things from the West Coast, they have some great vendors over there with some nice stuff.
Care to share who are your "go to" sellers?

Oh no worries not necessary on the lineage haha just curious is all. Have they grown at all for you? The paradise zoas that is?

I can't say a definite yes, but I would have to think that they have popped off 1 or 2 polyps since I have had them. I got them as a "big" colony, so it isn't as easy to say for sure if they have grown at all... I guess the best part thus far is that they haven't melted! :bounce3:

I finally got in my chalices from WWC. Only a few hours after putting them in my tank and they already are looking great!! The following shots are taken with my D90, as I am trying to mess around with the settings for closer macros, etc...
