Achilles is on my wish list, but must be preceded by a bigger tank! What size tank did you use to QT these Tangs? I've got a completely separate 30 long mini mixed reef that I use as an 'introduction' tank for new fish, do you think that would suffice for a smaller Achilles?

. I would QT in a tank that you can proactively treat with prazipro and if needed crypto medication that you use. Achilles tangs are long lived in home aquariums providing proper QT and treatment of all fish in the aquarium currently. Proactively treat for flukes and ich

Yeah, that's kind of what I figured. I've used PraziPro in my mini-reef but not copper, obviously.

I used a 70 gallon to qt them.. You can def use a smaller tank though, even a 20 gallon as long as the tangs/fish aren't huge. I would treat w prazipro and hyposalinity/copper every tang that enters the system (i only hypo, never copper)

The one in the pic is a snowcasso from donis reef, the other i have (not pictured) is a platinum with a "helmet" on his head like the snowcasso, They actually finally just paired up!
