I went to St. Louis Mills Mall and one of the stores that seems to be under construction has huge fish tanks. At least 2000-3000 gallons. Anyways, anyone know about this thing.

I did the google search on piranha realm and found this.

pictures of the stor ein progress I suppose and other albums contain some large FW tanks. He also appeared to have a large collection of sports action figures, mostly blues hockey. Anyone know who bigmocats is? They could shed some light on the subject i am sure. I dont know if I would pay money to see FW tanks.

Know all about it! A local hobbyist, who has been around the St. Louis fish scene for years is opening up a public aqaurium type walk through establishement. There will be no sales. Also, sorry but there will no SW. We have built 12 16' x 8' x 4' plywood tanks that will hold differant biotypes from around the world. The owner has bred piranhas for LFS for years and thus the name, Piranha Realm. Only two of the tanks will actually hold Piranhas. There will be a brackish tank but that's as close to SW as he'll get. There are also 8 "river tanks" that are 2' x 2' by 8' and 16' that will hold some smaller biotypes including native MO streams. Tanks are full and fish are in most of them and should be opening soon.

BTW - BigMOCats is more about me keeping large catfish BUT my son does go to Mizzou.

BTW - if you click on the above mentioned link, you will see pics of both mine and my brothers fish rooms. There is one pic of my brothers shark pond. His entire set-up was, at one time SW and he would "adopt" all of Brad's (MS) sharks that were traded in or grew to big. Sharks ended up being donated to the World Aquarium and the entire system is now FW. Some of you oldtimers might know him from Aqua Tropics or Sea World Aquariums.

Very cool pics, are all those tanks/ponds in his house ? Thats a lot of water in a house . The shark pond looked very cool, why did he convert it to FW ?

In the link, one of the fishroom albums is mine and the other my brothers. Both are in our basements. The sharks were just getting too big and squid isn't cheap!:D He had 3 nurse, 3 brown-banded and 1 leopard, all 3' or bigger. He also wanted to get back into turtles.
