Something weird just happened with my Peacock

Ok I was working on my computer and my Peacock was out and playing with my finger, or maybe she was just wanting it. But I decided to get curious and I took my optical mouse and I put it up on the tank. She got very curious and puffed up, I moved it slightly and she freaked out swam all over the tank then went back to her cave.

I was curious what happened then I relized that my mouse when I move it the optical light gets brighter.

Could I have hurt her in some way with this light? What do they think it was? I think the mouse deals with infrared but I am not sure.

This doesnt mean everyone with a optical mouse go see if yours does it. She got really frightened and I don't think it was a good thing.

My optical mouse uses red light. O. s. can certainly see this.

I kinda figured she could see it, but what made her freak so crazy? I didnt know if it ment something or if they interpurated it a certain way.
