Sound like a pest?

This morning I woke up to my birds nest drag on the sand almost completely stripped of its skin. Yesterday it looked perfectly fine and today literally like death I left it in the tank to see how it looks when I get home. There are currently no fish in the tank because I'm going through a fallow period. Only thing I did different yesterday than what I normally do is add Dr.G's oyster magnifique and seachem reef plus. All other corals, anemones, clams and gorgonians look perfectly fine.

Ca: 440 Red Sea
Alk: 8.0-8.5 Hanna
Mg: 1350 Red Sea
P04: .02 Hanna phosphorus

I only have this picture of this morning, I can't find any older pictures. Frag is about 2 weeks old if that matters. Dipped with Bauer 15ml per cup for 10min with 2 rinses.

SPS directly on sand with no plug? It's like if you scrape yourself on concrete, it will kill it.

Then I guess someone in the CUC knocked it loose. Glad to know I'm most likely not dealing with a pest.

Yes, likely bulldozed off original location. I suggest attaching more firmly next time.
