South Lake Tahoe Frags, March 16 pickup

Love the Hawkins and strawberry fields =).. That smurfette is an awesome piece too can't wait....

I have a nice wild Mille that will be a stunner when it's bigger got bleached a bit but it's coloring back up quickly.. it's a red base w/blue tips and purple/blue coralites and yellow polyps.. I think its gonna be the most unique coral in my tank eventually it's kinda finicky though we will see if I can tame it =). .
 
I was looking at some pics of the Soli and was wondering about the growth form. It looks like a tabling piece. Can anyone tell me about the growth pattern?

That pieces is a borealis, please if you don't like a pic keep it to a pm, all ora corals in my tank come from a reliable dealer, all came on Ora plugs. Don't mean to sound Agro at all. But reef bass that is a great photo of your borealis, which looks just like mine in my tank. And yes I still have more of the ones you want. Please pm me or Ron and I'll add you to the list.

Yeah, they are still coloring up and getting used to my tank (and my "very old T5HOs"!

On that note: could you share your lighting parameters so people know what to expect in terms of color acclimation?

Off top of head, I forget your lighting setup.

Good, I am glad both you and powderhound confirmed for me this is ORA borealis. Now to wait it out to color up.

Note: it has been about 5-6 inches from water surface. So not sure if borealis needs less light. It is also in middle of rack so may be getting less flow.

I notice higher flow tends to lead to more polyp extension.
 
Lighting for tank is a ATI sunpower 8 bulb X 54watt. Bulbs are 3 blue plus 1 actinic 2 coral plus 1 aquablue special and 1 GE 6500

=) I got a 60g flat tank going up soon also 5'x2' .. I'm just going to throw it in the loop with my current one and use my sunpower on it.. I should have it up by then. But I think I can squeeze these in the dt even before I remove some other stuff I'm loosing interest in.

Paypal sent to powderhound...I'm just now getting into sps as my tank is maturing, if the bubblegum milli does good in my tank I'd be interested in the tri color valida and the strawberry fields next time around

Ha! There may not be another Tahoe trip by me until next winter... After this one I mean.
 
Well at least I get to put something in my tank, it doesn't seem like too much is left...guess I'll have to get lucky at club meets...oh and by the way, the purple valida I got from you at the bar swap is doing great...can wait to frag it and bring it to our meets
