Spider Webs

I can home from work today to find my tank covered with that looks like spider webs. I know it isn't spaghetti worms because I have a couple of those and this looks nothing like it. This stuff floats around and I just sucked a lot of it out. Almost looks gel like

Vermetid snails. hope they are in the 46 gallon as they are easier to erradicate by superglueing their little tubes shut.

^ Yup those are the guys, and superglueing their tubes shut works great, just did one last night..it was stealing food from my corals

They aren't the snails. I've seen those before. This stuff reaches up to the top of my 46g from the very bottom by the sand. It completely covered the entire 46g too.

Better move the rocks. My vermetids were that bad, but you could see the small, tiny red tubes.

Hmm... I don't see any red tubes. I did a water change when I first noticed it and sucked all the stringy stuff out. It all sees to be gone now though?

I have seen some of those and my tank and they are rapidly reproducing. Can you break the tube parts off of them to kill them or is there some other trick to get rid of em'?

The tank was covered by mucus webs from top to bottom in one day? That's not vermetids - it would take a lot of little ones or some very big ones to do that & they don't suddenly appear overnight. Has it happened again Risika?
