I got some spiderman Zoas a couple of months ago. The two other Zoas I got with them have opened up nicely and have started growing. However the Spidersmans still haven't really grown or opened up big (skirts are VERY small still).

I wanted to ask from the other spiderman owners where in the tank you place yours (flows, placement, light, etc) where they see the best reaction.

they dont like strong lighting unless you acclimate them to it. i had them for a while @5" below water and they looked nice. almost as blue as the tubbs blue. the problem is i added an actinic right on top of them and it lost its color. :-( sucks

I would think since I have had them so long they would be acclimated by now, maybe not. I think when I get home I will place them at the bottom of the tank and leave them there for awhile. I will also try to get a picture tonight so you all can see exactly what I mean.

Mine never faired well. and ended up being 1 of the many colonies lost to zoa eating ampipods a while back.

yeah lost mine too and those were my fave other than the tubbs blues.

I just got some from phljess yesterday and they were opened within 3 hours as I placed them under a ledge on the bottom of my tank. Cant give you longterm results yet but maybe phljess will chime in here too.
