Spring Swap Location Ideas

No heated buildings, and last year it snowed for our Swap....I do have an email in to Cuyahoga Cty to see if weather was a problem if we could use propane heaters.

shes on it ,,,, check LCCC , Tri-C some of the local collages for Trade show space ?? not sure on the cost of all that thou ,,,,,

We used to have our reptile shows at the Cuyahoga Co fairgrounds. They do have heat. However, if its really cold, they take all day to warm up. They offer more space, however, the facilities aren't all that nice.

Not offense to all you westsiders but it would be nice to keep it central. Lotta folks come from the eastside (such as yours truly), Akron, Youngstown and Pittsburgh.

the old faternal order of eagles post in lorain... holds three to five thousand and is heated with parking and is cheap to rent but you would need to rent tables and chairs but that would by cheap to do... owner is a cool guy trying to remember his name

That's why I started this thread, hoped some eastsiders would chime in with venues, all the ones I found out that way were SUPER expensive.....

PITTSBURGH !!!!!!!!!!!!! oh man ,,,they have to wear Brown and Orange to enter the swap meet ,,, KROC has to pay double to get in for his use of bad avatars on his Reef Central page .

I second that. However, after last Sunday awful performance, I admit I am concerned about this Sunday.

As well as Columbus, Cincinnati, Toledo, Sandusky, Vermilion, Wisconsin, Detroit... I don't think 20 miles one way or the other will break anyone but central would be nice. Something like Brunswick, Medina etc... 45 minutes from East/West and downtown. 30 minutes closer to Columbus.

Just my opinion.

No problem. And when its all over, are you going to let me sleep on your couch when Ronni tosses me out?

Im sure a place will pop up somewhere. ( just dont be too bummed if its not as close to some than others) I have a Big Honda Quiet Power generator that the club can use in case of MH meltdown . it will run a lot of stuff all day long if needed . and its VERY quiet

Ahhh Domestic Bliss is overrated. lol

Sure no Problem Jeff.
We'll put you down by the tanks.
By then the long awaited remodel and fishroom will be done and at least you'll have something nice to look at while you ponder just what was the last straw.

OK Ok I guess nice place out in Chardon is not an option. ;)

Are there any strip malls that have an empty suite that is being powered by a landlord out there?

I wonder if an empty store that is awaiting new tenant would be an option?

Because of the 45-50 4X8 tables we'd need a space that can hold about 300-500 and I think it'd be cool if we had enough room to make a place where we could sit down between swapping and the raffle where we could visit with clubfolks that we don't see often because they live 2hrs away.
