Springeri dottyback/wrasse advice

Hey guys. I just want your input on what you would do. I'm thinking of taking down my ten gallon that has a springeri dottyback in it. I want to put him in my 93g but the 93g is wrasse dominated. The list as follows for the 93

Melanurus wrasse
Christmas wrasse
New geunia wrasse
Mccoskers flasher wrasse
Lyretail hogfish
Tamarin wrasse

Would the dottyback be attacked by some of the wrasses?

The wrasses are a lot bigger than the dotty back. You think he can hold his own? I've notice my Melanarus, Christmas and hogfish are somewhat aggressive with each other.

the Dotty is thinner and quicker. It can hide in rockwork and strike at will.

I would mainly be concerned about Anampses Wrasses if I were you.

Okay. Thanks that makes sense. He does have quite an attitude :)

Next question. How about the mandarin and clown goby. The clown goby is so teeny! Would he just vanish and not get any food? The wrasses are PIGS! And the mandarin has been eating frozen for over a year now but he is slow at eating. I'm worried he wouldn't get food but it is a large tank and he could prolly make up for less frozen and more picking of the rocks? The tank has been up a year so I'm sure it has little critters all over. I have all pukani rock so it has tons of places for pods to breed.

I wouldn't want to risk those two healthy Tamarins for a dottyback. I love dottybacks, but IMO, those are two rather dear wrasses. The goby should take care of itself, but the Mandy will need target feeding; with all those wrasses there can't be a wealth of pod life in the tank.

Yea you're right. Those wrasses are closer to my heart than the dottyback. I just re scaped the 10g so maybe I will keep it running. I've had the mandarin in there for at least a year now and he is happy as a clam. I don't want to put him in a huge tank and not be able to gobble any food up. He I lazy and won't compete for it. Thanks for the advice guys.

Skip the dotty back. Almost as bad as a six line wrasse. Fast and agile attackers. They are fine in larger setups with larger fishes in my opinion. Good luck. If you can find a little to be that only the Mandarin can fit in for feeding make that a feeding station. I would put cyclopeese in there and only he and she could fit in there. I would remove when finished.
