Do love my deepwaters! wish i could get my hands on some of the indo deepwaters you guys can get.... grass is always greener tho i suppose! Heres a few that i have pics of

This IS a juicy thread! :)

I've posted this a few places looking for an ID. I didn't think of it as deepwater but it slightly resembles a few of these. Any ideas? Excuse the iPhone pics.

I keep moving it lower as it appears to be bleaching, but haven't had luck coloring it up.

Do these like intense light or medium?

Typically deep waters seem to prefer lower light, I keep them in about the amount of light I give Montis.

Some people really like lighter coloration though and they will place them up higher.

I keep my Lokani, Dragons, Echinata, Granulosa, Rosaria, etc. up to about 350 PAR under MH... which is about 400 with LEDs since they have more blue, purple and IR that the PAR meters don't catch. They can do quite well down to 200.

What is amazing is that CITR Red Dragon will thrive in a frag tank under 800 PAR and also do OK at 200 with less growth.

The deepwaters don't get as much love as some kinds, but they are amazing corals wit some of the best colors.
