SPS on your "most wanted" list

I havn't seen anything lately that has tempted me, mostly because school was and my latest hobby......finding a new job is taking up most of my time. (If anyone wants to help a fellow fishnerd network, please do)

I admit, I am a little out of the loop SPS wise lately and have just been working on getting the tank back in order after neglecting it while finishing school.......so for conversation sake, what is everyone drooling over lately.......I need a new ultimate got to find since I got the others I was after........

I've still been looking for a cali or oregon tort =P hehe, i'm still super out of the elite circle. gettin there though!

I might be able to get you a frag of the LE Cali Tort.....its a slow grower and frags are small (not the ORA type).......$100 a half inch........or some ROAB Orange and Green digi, I here that is rare in the Bay Area......

Should I put you on my waiting list for the Cali Tort?

Its not that I have them all, but I have a small collection of what I feel are the ones to have especially for the size of tank I have, I like the oddball combinations, the rarer varieties, and shapes.

I am looking for the brighter, more colorful ones and want to stay with acros primarily that are not green or blue.....and especially brown because I am fully stocked on those already.

Like I said before, I am a sucker for the lighter pastel ones, so if anyone can give any suggestions it would be appreciated.

Hence asking about the red stag, I don't have anything that is a true "red".

My 75g is basically a glorified growout for the cube I want which will be have just a few of the better examples of what I feel is the best SPS to have and let them grow WAY out, simillar to CWARD's tank.

None i have them all :D

Did you get the grafted yet? ;)

I expect your list anytime Mark, or have you everything now as well?

Oh well, there are always softies to collect......

Unlike Brian, I believe there is always a piece to have. I am glad that Brian is done collecting. That leaves so many more for you and me Doug.

I think he needs a piece of my LE Cali Tort

Oh I am definatly a collector, but my wallet and tank are starting to disagree with me. I am running out of space and have to be very selective, hence this thread I am looking for ideas.

C'mon Doug--If you need ideas, then you are not as avid of a collector as I thought. My wife tells me that I name corals in my sleep. "Purple Monster, Setosa, Bazooka Joe...." :D

Actually you are quite right.....I have never understood why people say the Oregon is a slow growing tort, when it grows as fast as the rest of my others, if not faster.

I have began to change my feeding and am feeding more and in greater variety. Rapid growth has always been elusive to me and found it second to coloration.

Yeah, I have better growth as of late, but my colors are not what I like, I am expecting them to readjust and come out even better on the other side.

The digi is a prime example of this and well as my ATL Bonsai........which has some frags if someone is interested in......

BTW, if this turns into a general SPS discussion as it seems to be heading I am cool with it............

JUST GIVE ME SOME SUGGESTIONS, or find me a job......which is the reason I have been on here and will be this weekend.....:D

I have been busy and have not had a chance to troll the SPS forum or vendors in the last couple of months.

I have you to do the legwork for me my friend.......your part of that trendy flavor of the month crowd aren't you with the designer tank with all the gadgets and gizmos you should have all the latest goings on with the bannana rama tuity fruity frags that are the coolest.

I like to come to my well infomed Martians for quality, top notch information and opinion first...........

One of my favorites to hunt down is the Ponape Rosaria. It is a slow growing piece and pastle, just like you are in to.

I would say next on my list is the Shawn Bennet Yellow Tort. A real cool piece, especially if you can keep the light Blue polpys.

I also like the ecorals unknown. It's green coralites are just a little bit different.

One more for you Doug. Christmas Mirabalis. This is one of my favs.

I thought you were on the list for that Palmers?

I did not know that there was a list for "Palmers". I though it was available now.
