SPS pests and treatment options

People seem to be using 2 products, and its unclear even from the source thread WHICH one is more effective, or if they are equally effective.
Bayer Advanced Complete Insect Killer
Bayer Advanced Home Pest plus Germ Killer

People just keep saying "Bayer" without specifying and I am wondering if this is causing confusion. Im going to try the latter one tonight since there is at least one post where the Bayer Complete Insect didn't seem to work on red bugs?

Well i've been searching this thread and no answer as to what dip to use for AEFW. Is this some kind of secret or is it that nothing really works? What dip should be used for acro eating flatworms ?

Do you know what this antenna thing on my acro is ?

Heard from my LFS, he uses MinFin (sp? A koi pond product) to dip. He said kills aefw AND eggs. Your mileage may very.

CoralRX claims to work on AEFW.
From their web site:

We have personally witnessed Coral Rx eradicate the following common coral pests:

Acropora Eating Flatworms "œAEFW"
Red Flatworms
Montipora Eating Nudibranchs
Zoanthid Eating Nudibranchs
Bristleworms
Zoanthid Eating Box Snails "œSundial Snails"
Zoanthid Eating Spiders
Some Filamentous "œHair" algae

"¦and the list just keeps getting longer!

Hello everybody, my friend and i come for Taiwan,
and Taiwan is a island surrounded by ocean,
nature seawater and live rock are easy to get,so we always use those to set up our tanks,
for the reason that many of sps keeper always suffer from the pest(flatworms) and red bugs
recently, my friend found out some economic and useful way to kill this pest
here is his article:

I have been starting to collect SPS frags, I found this little guy on one of the plugs today. I haven't seen any eggs on any of the frags, I also haven't seen any others on any of the other frags. I looked on the bottom of everyone of the frags in the tank.

Hey guys, I'm facing an issue with some monti nudis at the moment in my frag tank. They have completely decimated a 5x5 colony of encrusting monti. Funny thing is I believe that they've been in some live rock that I've had for years in a holding tank full of live rock that I keep cycled. I want to dip / dose all the live rock in this system to eradicate these buggers as I'm tired of them.

What's the best solution to date?

reef tanks and pest got to love them. I would like to see more pictures of those with acro flat worms.. it seems like smooth skins coral and millies are like potato chips for these guys.

They are not terribly difficult to eradicate IMO if they are only in your frag tank. I have had GREAT success with the Bayer method. I have a blog entry that details the usage.

These actually look like Red Planaria and not AEFW's. A pest still but not nearly as problematic as the latter.

Hey all,

Just wanted to share a pic and my sad story of Monti Nudibranchs. I have a 55 reef all was well till I saw some receeding on a Montipora. Soon I started seeing little white rice like creatures. I id them and took out the infected piece. Well too late. Lost all but an orange Monti cap. decided to take the starve them out approach. 6 month later no activity. Then all of a sudden they ate my orange cap. Now I am going LPS and softy for another 6 months before I try again.
Here is the pic of oneof the b*******
