SPS Pics 2.5 at months tips Appreciated!

My tank has been up and running since the end of October and the current sps have been in just over a month now. I have had a reef tank for years but I'm somewhat of a noob when it comes to sps. Tell me what you think! Any tips and comments are greatly appreciated!

My biggest tip is placement. Remember corals grow and if you place small frags close together, when they grow out they will be battling.

Yea I have been thinking about placement. The good news is I'm moving about 175 miles in May back to my hometown. This week I'm ordering a new 150 gal tank I can get going when I get there!

I had the worst battle with red slime for about the first month. Right before adding the sps I removed the sump and made a new one with a fuge in it. Also I started to run heavy carbon and phosphate remover in the reactor. Besides that all I have is a filer sock and a skimmer.

I figured the cycle had not fully competed since I started the tank with all base rock, live sand and one baseball piece of live rock. Since the phosphate wasn't exactly elevated I figured the beneficial bacteria couldn't compete with the red slime. I started to add Brightwell Aquatics MicroBacter. Which cleared it right up and made the water crystal clear.

Only thing I'm currently running is a Kalk reactor which keeps the ph between 8.0- 8.3 depending on how new the kalk in it is.
