sps color change under my DIY LED (42pcs luxeon 3w 21pcs cool white (10.000-20.000K) and 21pcs royal blue with 60degree lens)
2 june 2011 (ID please..) i get this akro totally brown

i think in first month it change the polip extention, after that the base in 2nd month. (i get june 2, and the other one pic at august 7 2011)

no. it isn't hybrid lighting. i use my led on left side and my Mh on right side. I compare this lighting to my coral. i still can't keep my akropora under MH, but under LED my akro get better.

Yes, ORA Purple Plasma is the common name. I would say "Acropora sp.". If anyone has a more specific species designation, please clue me in.

David... about the growth, i think this acro (blue staghorn right??) better than acropora sp.(acropora sp. change in color more fast than this blue acro.) i think this is because right now i drive this LED at 350mA (equivalent 1w)... not drive at 700mA yet.

BonsaiNut and David, i dont have a new FTS, maybe next week i'll post my FTS. But my tank is mix reef tank not full sps tank. My friend do with 2 x 180w DIY LED to replace 2x400w MH. So far still good, both growth and color. sorry, i dont have the picture of my friend tank.
