standpipe?

What kind of standpipe does everyone use/recommend and why? I dont really care bout cost ... Ive only ever used overflow boxes in the past so I need some advice here ...

About how much flow through the sump would you get with a 1" vs 1 1/2" drain?

Both stockman's and durso's are easy to make. I run durso's in my two displays, but have a DIY stockman on a subsystem that works great. It makes a slurping sound every once in a while, but I'm sure there is a way to fix that (current setup is temporary). The durso's make no noise. I have AGA durso's (not DIY-easier to buy with tanks).

If you DIY make sure to use the 90* street elbows instead of regular 90 * elbows. What size tank is this going on?
