Star polyp?

So I'm guessing these are some kind of star polyp, however, they seem to be a little different than any I've seen before. Most I've seen encrust in a mat, but these spread like a root system, sending out tubes. They also don't have the "defined" center of the polyp... Just wondered if anyone else has encountered these... I got them as a hitchhiker on some live rock which started as only a few small polyps... They grow like weeds

Looks like Xenia, it could cover your whole tank! Sell it to local fish store or get trade or credit.

I considered Xenia as well but most of the Xenia I've seen has a bigger base for the polyps..
