Tswifty, I was meaning to ask you this, but when you were creating your aquascape did you use rods or something like that? What about epoxy?

I Have to say if it wasn't for Scott I would never have started in this Hobby. Scott was the instructor in a course I was taking and I caught the bug when he showed me some pics of his setup. After picking his brain and doing a ton of personal research on the world wide web (some/alot that was done during his computer class...lol) I took the leap and purchased a used set-up complete except for lighting, water and fish. Since that day I have developed a great friendship with Scott and thought I'd say:
Thanks Scott, for showing me the quickest way to empty a wallet and keep it that way all the while filling my heart with happiness everytime I look at my tank.

:o It's the other way around---I have you to thank for your friendship, interest, and really my whole basement setup:eek2:

Its all relative with wallets:

age 6-12 pennyless and no wallet

age 13-15 first wallet but nothing to put in it except a condom

age 16-20 first car and just enough in the wallet to take the gf out in it and afford to replace the two year old condom.

age 20-45 money doesn't hit the wallet--kids and mortgage-wallet put in the top drawer--it doesn't hold loonies and toonies anyway, no use of a condom--you've done the deed

age 45- just when you were about to brign out the wallet:

[welcome]

Man that angel looks really beat up. I'm glad someone is coming to his aid.

I witnessed more 9 counts with that one--and I tried everything to call the fight--the the fiesty little thing would duck behind the reef every time

I don't know if it will survive or not--I read once that if a tail get bitten down to the main part then it won't regrow.
This morning it is swimming all over the left side of the tank and feeding. The damsel has left---I wish the damsel had left the building

NO and I protest--how do these nominations come about

I can't figure for any reason why Tswifty's thread here has not been nominated for months and months??

I agree, I thought last month you two would have been battling it out.

Since the ThOTM is a Team RC project, Team RC members consider which ones will go in the poll. It isn't about popularity, nor how fast a thread gets posts added to it. There have been a lot of ThOTMs over the years.

There's no reason to vent, nor feel left out. These there were selected this month, and you get to pick one. Sometimes, the poll will be for the best of:

3 image-heavy threads
3 tank build threads
3 DIY threads
3 solution-finding threads

It varies. Here's the list of them over the years.

No I didn't use any rods. I did use some epoxy here and there, but everything is basically just stacked carefully.

Sorry Marc--vent was probably an inappropriate word for me to have used---it did not vent on the post, and do not make a habit of venting.

In this case IMO there should be more input allowed from the people who gain the most from the post--the new to the reefers ect ect
As a suggestion--one might consider a thread for nominating a particular thread that might normally been overlooked by the staff

Its no big deal however in the scheme of things here so I apologize again for using the word vent.

Hey swifty I know you have this posted but I couldn't find it. can I get run down of what bulbs you are using right now? And where did you buy them?

I ordered them from SaltyCritter

Fed the anemone today. I've been feeding it a 1/2 of a silverside 2 - 3 times per week so far.

I also feed the brain coral when I do this... except I need to give the shrimps a piece too, or they try and steal the piece from the brain. The last 2 times I've done this I've given each mouth a piece. The mouth on the right already ingested the piece I had given it.

10" Curved Tip Stainless Steel Forceps (picked up at SaltyCritter).

I used to love feeding my open brain. It'd eat a silver side twice a week and grew up fast.
Tanks coming along nice TJ
Yeah it's getting huge. I asked a question earlier if they splt, because it has 2 mouths now, and when it is opened up the whole way it seems to be pinched/fold right in the middle of them.

Thanks. Hopefully I'll have some more additions soon :D

I'm also considering placing at least one, possibly two powerheads on a wavemaker.
