:fun2:Opening poll to gauge interest into taking field trip to Steinhart/California Academy of Sciences in San Fransicio.
Tour Date would be August 21st. (saturday after meeting).
general admission.
Cost for inividual is 24.95(adult),19.95(Senior), 19.95 (youth-12-17) & 14.95 for (child 4-11), Student is same rate as Youth.
Group rate for Adult is 21.21, Senior 16.96, Youth 16.96 & Child 12.71
Deep Dive Tour (behind the scene),(group of 16 or more).
Cost is 58.65 per person & min age 12.
We would add cost to cover transportation if enough interest generated.
Need to know if going & paid by June Meeting.
Steinhart has Philippine Coral Reef- 212,000 gal tank, Northern Ca. Coast tank- 100,00 gal & for more info goto www.calacademy.org

1 hour docent led tour giving an in-depth insight into one of the key areas of the Academy.

Great Idea!! I remember that the club got a behind-the-scenes tour before they upgraded, but I couldn't make it %( I vote for the behind-the-scenes version!

Still looking for those interested for Tour, We need Min of 16 to form Group if we do Behind the Scene(Deep Dive) tour. Loooks so far abour 7 people interested.

So Far, Only 12 people have expressed interest in going, (Not all for Deep Dive Tour). We need at least 15 people signed up for Tour to make it all MARS members. I know this is still early, But the more people we have signed up, the greater the chance for "Special Tour" (If Matt W. see this Please PM me).

Last time Matt Wendall spoke at the MARS meeting I believe he said if we wanted a behind the scene he would work out a deal with the club.

The weirdest part is that it says "9/5/09 until 10/6/10" on the post so it's only effective through October of this year(?). I don't get the rules. lol
