I'm using the Tropic Eden sand and I REALLY like it too!!!

It should be wet already if i didn't buy an RODI unit with 3 bad membranes. I can't wait to get my tank cycling...

Ed, I could borrow an RODI unit from Dan but i decided to wait for my stuff to come in because i spent lots of money on this RODI setup it has 12 stages, 2 Sediments, 3 carbons, 3 DI, 3 100gpd membranes, U.V sterilizer...

The sand is Tropic Eden Reef flakes 3mm-5mm. They look very solid and white...

12 stage - WOW !!! I thought I went overboard with a 5 stage RO and 1 DI

Clint, i have use tunze salt before and i love it. BTW, the sand arrived today and i love it. I use 210lbs for my tank and its perfect for what i need.

It's good stuff. I especially like it when it comes time to siphon out the detritus. Detritus suspends and sands sinks due to it's large size.

Good stuff Steve. I am glad this thing is finally coming together. How high off the water is the rack? Do you plan on Skinning the canopy and stand?

Mark, the light rack approx 8" above the tank. I will use black acrylic to cover the canopy, as for the stand it will have to wait till i get everything up and running first.
