Steve's 480g upgrade 730g total Zeovit system

I fed the eels first to give them a headstart, maybe if they eat enough of them they will get tired of the taste=)

I have been testing the new water change technique, so far it doesn't seem to have any problem. The corals seem to be normal because i did not shut down the return pump or the circulation pumps. I only have to turn off the ATO, remove 30g and replace 30g every 3 days... I also change to Deltec Pro + salt to see if there is any improvement from TMPro. What i really like is the elevated level of Mg and K+.....

WOW, that took a long time to read all the thread! Very awesome tank I was hoping on doing the exact same setup in a few years (or sooner) when I build a new house...

Do you have any pictures of the overflow Steve? Do you have wave boxes or just using a controller for the tunzes?

Sorry it took me so long to read all of it I think I forgot some... Just trying to get ideas for when my "love" comes to life! LOL

I didn't use the actual wavebox pumps. I use tunze 6201 instead and the wave controller for more juice... :D

+1 on D-D h20 salt great specs but also great consistancy. Also if any probs. with the salt just report it in with batch # any they will look after you.

Did they use 3/4" acrylic on that tank? I really like the rounded corners looks very nice! What are the 2 other "boxes" on the side of the overflow for? In the truck picture they are not on there... Is that something you added?

Those MH really light the tank well! I remember you saying they are 400watt but what are the reflector sizes?

Thanks and it looks AWESOME!

Hello, the tank made out of 1" acrylic all around with 4" euro brace.

The two additional boxes is my external tunze waveboxes. Each box capable to house 2 tunze pumps. With 4 pumps running the water level has to be 3/4 full or else it will splash out.

That is 400w 14k Ushio on PFO HQI ballast. The reflector made by Sfiligoi in Italy with the measurement of 23-3/4" x 22-3/4" x 8" tall... The reflector designed for 1000w MH but work just as well on 400w.

Will be doing very similar setup, but with an 90" cross back external overflow with 2- 11/2 drains. I get to order the stand this Friday!!!! :D

Getting more ideas watching yours coming to life.. very nice.
