Steve's 480g upgrade 730g total Zeovit system

I can't keep up with dosing anymore as the training getting intense. Plus i am prepping for a 13 months deployment so i don't want to have my wife doing the dosing while taking care of my little girl. I am going to install a 150w U.V from emperor aquatic and 300mg/h sanders ozone with Ozone reactor... I want to keep my tank as simple as possible for easy maintenance. I already have a maintenance guy line up to take care of my water change while i am gone..

I read somewhere in RC talking about Zoanthis toxin.. I had a little cut on my finger and happen to handle the zoas and Paly's. I got some of their slime into the cut and today my finger look like a balloon.

Ouch! Palytoxin is no joke, pretty serious stuff.

Are you experiencing any of these?

Taken from wikipedia:
"Typical symptoms of palytoxin poisoning are angina-like chest pains, asthma-like breathing difficulties, tachycardia, unstable blood pressure, hemolysis (destruction of red blood cells), and an electrocardiogram showing an exaggerated T wave. The onset of symptoms is rapid, and death usually follows just minutes after."

None of that yet... Just having a big thump :D

Well the finger getting better but the tank somehow having Cyano bacteria again. It went away for couple weeks and came back

PO4 is at 0.08 last time i check. NO3 is undetectable. As for dosing, i just dose MB7 for now because the Vodka thing don't work well for me...

Beautiful tank and great set up. What return pump are you using?

Hello, thank you for the compliment. I am using the ATB 4200gph for return to 2 x 3/4 penductors. I also have another ATB 4200 with a manifold to feed the U.V, Ozone, PO4 reactor, and Ca reactor.

Thanks for your swift reply. I am building a 96 x 36 x 30 and was using the Red Dragon 2 (240W) pump, but after 4 days of usage in saltwater, it broke. Since these pumps are no longer available, my vendor can not replace them, Klaus said he would replace then from Germany directly. But I have not heard anything since. Royal Exclusiv and Klaus do not reply to their email, nor PM. Hence, I am exploring alternatives.

What other return pumps did you consider? Why did you go with ATB?

Thanks in advance for your answers, they will really be useful. Cheers.

I have own both RD and ATB pump and i couldn't tell the different between the two except ATB is way cheaper compare to the RD. My ATB running 150w pushing 4200gph super silence. Beside the cost customer service also the best...

Then all that is left for me to do is to talk to Victor regarding the customer services that he can offer to overseas customers then. Not too worried though, as I have not read any bad cases with ATB products.

Victor is a great person and he takes good care of his customer. He has no problem driving 400+ miles to Orange county to make sure my custom ATB calcium reactor working properly...

"There must be something to this ATB." :p

BTW, I can't see the photos from the beginning of your build thread.

I made a mistake by delete all my picture from photobucket. I will look into the old camera to see if i could find them again.
