Steve's 480g upgrade 730g total Zeovit system

Corals look like they are getting even better color. You know my tank is starting to heal (I think) so I'm going to be sharpening my cutters and stopping by soon. BTW I thought that you were swearing off of zoas/palys? Remember not to touch them with an open cut.;)

I just keep a few piece on the bottom for fun lol. I have a brand new cutter for you Dan

Steve,

You're corals are looking really good. PE looks a lot better since you treated for RB... The Purple lokani and that Acroberry look really sweet!!!

the 10ks were really more like 6.5ks they were SUPER yellow and the corals weren't really growing. the ushio is 100000x better even at lower depths there is a visible difference between the two

Looking great Steve. Some nice SPS in there. My setup is coming along slowly. I should have plumbing installed over the Turkey Day holiday. Maybe my tank will actually get wet this year!

How's your youngin doing? My boy has had croup (cough and congestion) for the past week and a half so sleep has been tough to come by for all of us.

Andy

Andy, i have not chat with you for a long time. How are you doing? My tank is slowly getting better after i add the Ozone, UV and stop all the dosing . As for my little one, she kept both of us busy all day long. She is very very active. I can only get something done when she is asleep :D. We are trying very hard to keep her warm so she doesn't get sick (You know how asian pep are).

Looking forward to see your build thread bro. Hang in there and it will get better.

glad to see things working so well for you steve.

would you mind commenting a bit on your ozone reactor? i looked at the info on mtc's site but i'm not sure i understand how it's providing air/water contact time. what does the plastic material do? what air pump are you running for it?

i ask because i'd like to run ozone but i don't have a skimmer on my system so this looks like an interesting alternative.

Hello Porthios, Thank you.

MTC ozone reactor come with 3 parts:

Drip plate: this part mounted onto the top lid where the water will enter the reactor. Next to the drip place is the Ozone injector port where you will feed the ozone into the reactor.

White PVC bio bale: this stuff use to mix Ozone and water together as the water drip through the bio bale.

Air release valve: when the water hit certain level and the air inside the reactor hit certain psi the valve will release the air to avoid overload.

The ozone reactor setup come with 3 components:

1. Ozone reactor
2. Carbon air filter (use to filter out the air that being release from the reactor via the air release valve
3. Media reactor or carbon reactor (your Ozone water will run through the carbon before entering the tank to avoid Ozone residue being release to the tank and kill the inhabitants.

I am using the Eco plus pump which rated up to 28PSI because i want the pump to draw fresh air from outside so the pump is approx 20 feet away.
