Thank you for taking your time to read my post....

Steve

looking good Steve but too bad you will be in Colorado and I can not help you carry your tank in.....:-)BTW I still like your expensive toilet in the back ground.....

The mover company will have their people to unload the tank. I think my stand will weight as much as the tank :).

Will you be going bb on this tank as well?is that why you are planning on using rdsb in the sump?i always loved your old tank kept up with it from the begining thanks.

I don't see any flow equipment are you going to LPS and softy??SPS is too much for you Steve? After reading all these tank crash kind of scare you ....:-)

33g, the tank will be BB to avoid scratches. My RDSB will be 8" fine arag sand, i will have my overflow box drain into the DSB before it enter the rubble rock filtration with Chaeto.

Anthony, i want to keep mainly sea grass and Mangro in the tank, LPS and softies too hard for me lol. My tunze will arrive in a week or two. I already 4 waveboxes, still waiting on the 2 tunze 6301.

I am still debating between 24" tall and 30" tall. Come on guys, i need your input

I guess the final decision is 30" tall and 400w instead of 1k. I hope by doing additional 6" on the height will not break the bank. I may have to adjust the length a little because the new house is much smaller then expected. I may go with 7x4x30 (525g)

Edward, i was gonna ask you about the spot light :). I want to have couple of them around my tank.

30" tall you will not regret it. and best of all you will get another 120gals out of it

Another 120g will lead me into an upgrade on Ca reactor :D. My 601S rated 650g. I am not sure if it can handle 650g heavy stock or 3 acros with couple fish stock lol

Het Steve, I'll be watching your thread.

My reactor that is rated for 250 gal can't even keep up with my 90. You think I might have too many corals :)

Ouch... I should have purchase the PF1001 but the wife woulda kill me :). I'll give it a try. If that don't work, i may ended up with another 601S in the near future. I still have lots of other stuff to be worry about.

Well, that is db the size of your current tank :). Im looking forward for the build thread.... I will harass you and Tim whenever my tank is up and running...

Steve my vote goes for 24"s tall w/ 400w 14k bulbs :D . That extra 120 gal. is just that much more money that would need to be spent.

Another thing is you may be able to mix up the wattage of the bulbs depending on zones. Have higher intesity zones and lower intensity zones depending on corals placed in those areas.

Chad

Chad, thank you for the advice. I like the 30" but i don't like the fact my arm is TOO short :D. As for the lighting, i have decided to go with 400w and the mixture of 14K and 20K. Most of my T-5 will be atinic plus or URI super atinic. I also look into spot light like Edward has in his tank.
