Still having fun...300 gallon in wall reef

Just making 3 larger reflectors.

If you get rid of the current reflectors you are using, let me know, I would be very interested in them. Thanks! Do you have all the coral in the tank yet?

I'll let you know about the reflectors.

I moved some more corals into the 300 this past weekend. I still have a couple dozen pieces that I have to figure out what to do with.

looks great man!.. but why do you need gate valves and true union ball valves on your manifold? Wouldnt one or the other work fine? Or are you using the ball valve just for on/off purposes and the gate for fine adjustments?

You are correct. On the manifold on my 390, I used just ball valves. When I had to close the valve, it took forever to get the adjustment where it needed to be.

Thanks Roger. My wife says that there is very little action until I get home, and then the fish go nuts. I haven't told her it's because I feed them!!!

Looks AMAZING!!!

for your DIY reflectors, where did you get the bracket that the mogul socket attaches to. i also have similar reflectors?

Looks amazing, very nice job from start to finish.

Ive got the same tank going in wall too.

Can you post a couple more pics showing the back panel, and how its hanging.

Also, perhaps a closeup of the frame you installed around the tank?

Thanks very much,

Junior

Joe, the bracket is from a piece of flat aluminum from HD.

Wow! The background makes a huge difference in the tank. I have always liked blue backgrounds the best! Looks like you added some rock into the tank also.

I've actually added a couple more small flat pieces of rock in the front since that picture, and a lot more corals. The 50 is almost empty.

Nice Job Mike you do great work and have great ideas throughout. Would be interstering to see the first tank you ever had and see how you have morphed into your last two setups.
