strange pairing

I have two Darwin occelaris and one normal occelaris in my 150g reef. My other occelaris, a semi-snowflake, the smallest of the group died after suddenly being bullied. Now, the orange/white female has taken up residence in my green/purple BTA with the larger of the black/whites and they are beginning to engage in pre-mating behavior (the dance/ cleaning the rock beneath/ etc.). Do such pairings actually spawn? Would the eggs be fertilized? I would think they would, given as they are both occelaris, albeit different colors, but was wondering if anyone here knows for sure? If they do successfully spawn, what do the offspring look like?

Sure they can spawn. The offspring are fertile. The one pair, I know of like this, produced clowns that looked like dirty orange ones. Kinda brownish. Not black and not orange. Somewhere in between.

Thanks. Doesn't sound like very attractive offspring but as a pair, one b/w and one o/w looks pretty interesting, although it wouldn't have been my personal preference.

Totally agree, most likely the pair will get aggro as they mature, and 3 will be a crowd.
