Stud boy and sweetie

I've been busy taking pics of my tank today and got a few cuties of my stud boy and his sweetie :D

Just want to share with you guys. The first pic is Pablo (male) and the second and third are Paloma (female) I've had them for a year now and they are about 1 1/2 years old. They never leave each other for long and have my entire 29 gallon tank to themselves. They are ORA jigsaw Picassos. Most folks know them as "b" grade picasso's but I actually prefer the jigsaws patterns. They haven't spawened yet but hopefully one day they will

Last week I bought my first ever nem. She's a green spotted bta...quite bleached (all 3 in teh store were) but she's nestled herself high in the rocks (the very center top rock...you just can't see here lol) so she's really close to my 150 HQI 14,000k phoenix...hopefully that will help.

Thanks for letting me share

Very nice looking.

Should try taking some pictures with the pumps off, won't have any bubbles in the pictures.

As for the BTA (( which is cool looking )) I suggest putting some window screening (( I use 3 layers )) between the lights and the tank, and remove a layer each week. That will acclimate it to your lights. And since you have an open top, you can place some egg create over the tank to set the window screening on -- like this,

Oh thank you...that's something I'd never have thought about. I'll do that. She's crawled deep into a crevice with just her bubbles showing so I bet the light is a lttle bright.

I fed her a clump of RODs food a couple of days ago and she wolfed it down.

I've always been worried about getting a nem but I'm so happy that I did. My tanks very established and there's nothing that can bug her where she is.

My clowns have never hosted anything...not that I have much for them...just a torch and frogspawn and some shrooms so it will be so cool if they find her one day.

I really like the spots too ";-)

I agree on the jigsaw look. Always struck me that THOSE should be the grade "A"s . Those are beautiful.

I have a pair of spawning occs that won't touch my RBTA. The rbta recent kicked out a clone, and I put it in with my pair of black photons and they won't touch it either.

Thanks guys.

Picking up some screen and eggcrate tomorrow. See if I can help my bubble acclimate a little easier.

Tufacody, I've decided if they don't host (and they may not as it's not their natural host nem) it's still cool...I've wanted a nem for so long and I'm thrilled to have such a beautiful creature living under my care.

Like you I love the unique combinations of orange/red, black and white in the jigsaws. Plus from everything I've read genetically the "A's" and "B's" all come from the same spawn so you should own the ones with the pattern and color combo's you find the prettiest and if you're lucky enough to breed and raise fry you may have a mixture of A's and B's anyhow ";-)
