Things are going great so far! I haven’t bought anything new lately as I’m about to leave for Florida this Saturday for a week. I’m super worried about my tank when I’m gone. I’m going to point my blink camera directly at it and probably check it every 5 minutes 😆

I started a 13 gallon nano that’s currently cycling 😁
 
Enjoy your vacation. We got back Friday from a week at the Lake of the Ozarks and my 24 YO twins took care of my tank while we were gone.

Unfortunately, my female Clarkii clown died while I was gone. They were fully grown wild caught fish when I got them about 6 years ago so I don't know how old they are. She has not been looking good for the last couple months so it wasn't a complete surprise. Besides that everything else is doing well.

Aww, I’m sorry to hear that! That’s one of my fears when leaving. My parents are retired and plan to come every other day because they’re an hour away. I just hope everything goes smoothly while I’m gone 😬

Fingers crossed for you.

I'm not going to replace the clown at this time. Since I don't know how old the remaining clown is I don't know how long he'll be with me. To be honest, I'm not really sure the two were a pair. The one that passed kept the anemone all to herself and didn't let the other clown near it. Now that she's gone, he's taken up residence in the anemone and has stopped stirring up the sand constantly.

I am, I got back Sunday and came back to this brown slime looking algae covering everything my LFS identified as the start of Dinos 🤦🏼‍♀️ I think my parents overfed the fish. Everything looks ok, except for the bubble coral. He’s angry has hell. Next time Im hiring a tech from my LFS to come out and take care of things…

I should’ve known when my mom said the clowns act like they’re starving, they always act like that lol

Welcome back. Sorry to hear about the Dinos. I've never had to deal with them so I don't have much advice.
