Tank disaster

I got in the office this morning in relatively good mood. Thought I'd visit RC to see what's going on, clicked on the thread thinking a some kind of tank crash by ich or velvet. Now this ****es me off. A company like Cadlights should not be ignoring these kinds of incidents caused by their business process and practice. Sorry for your loss Ivan, but I wholeheartedly agree with the suggestions here, find a lawyer fast and sue the f*&^ out of that disgusting piece of s$%&^ excuse of a company. On the bright side, no one got hurt and everything damaged and lost can be replaced, to a certain degree.

I grew up watching judge Wopner on people's court, and I always remember the message at the it went something like this "Don't get mad take them to court" if lawyer wont take yiur case you can file your own, I have several times and I was very happy with the outcome.

Appreciate you sharing the "Nightmare" as companies lack of support during such an event will never get my business... Very curious the bracing used top, bottom, cross ? Keep us posted on where this story goes....

Not the first time I've read someone having major issues with a CADLights tank.

I would def post this on every reef forum, need to spread the word

cadlights is a sponsor at so cali reef. post over there and see what kind of response you get. Also, I think cadlights will have a booth a rap tomorrow and sunday. Eddie is usually there.

WOW is right! There has to be some responsibility. Mistakes are made and it's what a company does about them that can make or break them. It just bad business practice to not even discuss the situation or come to some kind of terms...
Sorry for your situation!!!

Picket the cadlight booth at reefapalooza with a blown up copy of the first image you posted. In all seriousness though, this thread is straight terrifying. I would begin the litigation process at this point.

I guess tomorrow at RAP, everyone can talk to Cadlights booth and ask what happens if their front panel falls off

You mean like..."If I own a 150 gallon tank and the front panel pops off because mfg defect, do you guys have business general liability and product liability insurance to cover the damages and will you guys answer my calls?"

OP..so sorry you had to go through all that. I showed my wife the pictures you posted and her exact words were "if something like that happens to you then the only fish you'll see are the ones on the dinner plate". You have an extremely understanding wife. Terrible what Cadlights is doing. I agree with what other members said about pursuing legal action if you can't come to an agreement. Props to you for being so patient.

that is my worst nightmare...good luck, hopefully it works out.

thank you for the post. i am now aware that this company will not back up its products...such a shame.

Ugh, don't remind me Rik! But yeah, I know exactly how he's feeling right now and I'm so sorry that you had to go through this too.

If he made a home insurance claim, I'm sure his insurance company would investigate if a suit is possible to recoup their money.
Wayne sorry to make you relive your nightmare. Hope we can still be friends :)

5k probably wouldn't come close

It hurts me to see those pictures. The front panel looks like it came off cleanly at the seams. Gives me the impression that the silicone didn't hold, is this correct?
I personally would get a lawyer and file suit. If its been 18 months and they haven't done anything about it, doubt they will now.
I hope this ends well in your favor.
