Tank2379 60G RR Cube Build

Well added my first coral a Green Hammer and it's doing well so far so good, will be in the market to add some clowns but I have tossed in some Fish food to see if I get a Spike in Ammonia so far my readings are checking out zero. I also have some micro algea that was full of PODS, it is also doing well. Here is a pic of the Hammer I added

whoa, that looks awesome! looks radioactive. Same with the sand and rock.

Thanks- I am really likin the Stunner LED- I have 2 strips- 1 Blue 460NM and 1 strip is Blue 460NM and Magenta- The Magenta is really suppose to help with Orange and Reds to get those colors popin which I have some orange pieces of paper that I put next to it and it really does give a nice glow coming from that piece of paper and I certain that it will give your Corals a Great Glow to there colors- Not really using the LED for growth though, but if they do help then thats a Plus.

Ya, I'm wondering how many i would need for a 75gal. I really like how they look. I'm wondering if they would help with coloring for my corals because I don't have any T5 or PC actinics or anything to help make the colors pop a little bit more. Wonder if they can power through the 2x 250watt MH fixtures i have

You can, but would have to have them rewired- The LED Strips are powered by a 24V 60 Watt Transformer which would have to be purchase separately the are linkable as well but if you want to put them indiviually on a timer you would have to purchase separate Transformers.

Update: 10/5/2011

Well over the weekend I ended finally painting the canopy Black and it came out pretty good. I also picked up a couple little friends along the way...

Risky painting it over the tank but it was cover pretty good and it was Black wood paint so it soaked in really well

Frankie, got a question!

Hows the noise from the overflow?

It was pretty horrible at first cause I thought the OE piping was enought, but I made a short standpipe and drilled a hole on top and I can't hear anything... Wife loves it and sometime she forgets a tank is in the house. So if she's happy I am happy..

update:

Well some of you already know I wanted to switch back to T-5 from having up the 250Watt MH up for past few months. I just decided that the 20K Radiums just wasn't enough Pop in coloration for me and with this thing pumping out a ton of heat I am going to do some mods to it later on.

But anyhow I order up a New ATI Sunpower Fixture yesterday from my guys at PA.... The fixture will be an 8 bulb fixture since my tank is 24" wide I needed something to cover the whole area and have a little more deeper penetration to the bottom. I should have it by next week hopefully since they have to Drop ship it from the manufacturer.

I went with
6X blue plus ATI
1x ATI Purple Plus
1X KZ New Gen bulb.

I will have this fixture hanging from my ceiling so new project coming up. Well at least I hope it's an Easy one.

Sweet... you are going to love that setup.

Althought LED are the way to go now, but I still have an issue with pulling the trigger, everyone has Par readings and they are ok but I have yet to see Par readings after a year that have stayed the same.

I have heard of LED single bulbs going out after a year of use. I know they save cash on your electric bill and all but for what cost when most are starting to kill your corals for too much intensity of LED light your pumping into your aquarium. For me that is the reason I am staying with T-5, I was never really a Fan of MH but I thought I try it out.

I think I am going to happy with this fixture and I can't wait for it to come in, I was finally able to order up an Apex Display Module since my Gaming Adapter went bye bye on me a couple weeks back so I have to do thing Manually thru my PC which Sucked. This is the reason why I should have went straight full Apex version, but I guess thats what I get for being cheap...lol.. Any how I will have pictures up in the next few days, I have some recent ones that I think I posted on another site but not here will get those in shortly.
