TDB's 320 SPS Rebuild

Thanks for the response! How about tank temperature? :)

I'm beginning to think that for phosphates barebottom IS the key. If I take out GFO my phosphates start to slowly creep up so it's a matter of running just enough to keep them low without stripping them.

77.5 to 78 never less or more. Fans come on at 77.6 and chiller is on at 77.9.

You sir have the Midas touch of sps keeping. The Acro touch, as it were. Lurked on your builds for a while now and the growth and colors you get over the stated time frames seem almost fictitious. I cannot fathom how that happens. I have frags that I'm happy if I get 1" on out of a 6 month time frame, with MH mind you, and in that same time you take a frag to a colony 500% it's original size or more. Which seems to continue exponentially. It's hard to believe.

I do believe it so this isn't a post of skepticism, instead one of flattery. How do you do it? What is your secret? Besides the classic "stable parameters" line? I may have missed your feeding /husbandry type info amongst the mass of pictures.

True stability is sometimes harder to achieve than any special technique:)

2015 July Update

2015 July Update

Hope everyone is having a great summer. The tank as been on autopilot mode as we have been traveling. Water changes 15% about every 3 weeks. I replaced my 12 month radiums with AquaConnect 14K Bulbs. I like the Radiums better but will live with the AquaConnect until the next bulb purchase.

Looking for recommendations on Flow. Currently I am running 2 6105's two wave boxes, two MP60's and One MP40 as the other needs repair. I was thinking the two Maxspect Gyre 170's when they are released in place of the MP60's and MP40's and keeping the Tunze. Thoughts?

Colors could be better but getting good growth vs last month. Enjoy the Pictures!
