I'd let someone better than me tell you for sure. I had them a few years ago and also threw in the towel. Making my way back in now. I'm really hoping I'm wrong for you here.

I don't see them but let me tell you what to do when dipping acropora. So if I'm correct your just letting The coral sit in the dip the AEFW are really tough and they will come of if you Blast them with a turkey baser. In the coral rx it doesn't look like they are there.

the pink circle is too difficult to call but I think if you had the bug it would be on the base like pink to brown eggs all over when you dip the acro swish it around and see if any fall off you should see them moving as soon as you dip the acro and they will be moving around i don't see any in the container you used . I don't think you have aefw if you did the bites would be everywhere and eggs would be at the base under the plug or where the bites are did you check the rest of your corals ? best thing is to get a baster and blow the acro's off while in the tank with the tank's water you will see these white brown flat worms blow off and curl up in the water until they hit the glass then they will get flat and move about good luck hope you find nothing ..
Roger
ps. dip and basted those acros

I think I see eggs in the first pic and for sure see bite marks in pic 3. Looks like you have them. Start dipping all effected corals.

well only one way to find out is to dip a different frag every week to see if anything pops up. and hope for the best

Dont give up. I found some a month or 2 ago and now I have a crap ton of AEFW. I am dipping the effected sps in Reef Dip at 2-3X the dose and letting the corals soak for 10 min or so, them I inspect for eggs and AEFW on the corals, then back into the dip for a min or so as I check the other corals, rinse with clean tank water and back in the tank they go. Now repeat every week for 5-6 weeks until you can break their life cycle.
I have also had red bugs 2 times and got rid of them fairly easy.

If it is you could always use interceptor for dogs my friend had them in his 300g tank went to the vet got a couple of pills and dosed his tank with them and they are all gone . The only down side is that it kills all cleaning crew

Interceptor dose not kill AEFW. Even if it did kill the adults all the eggs would survive and in a few weeks time you would have an issue again.

I don't see any AEFW but I do also see the bite marks. Interceptor is for red bugs. I would take the frag and put it in a different container with some water from your tank and use revive and a turkey blaster
