the 1700g stingray reef

I love how the owner of the tank says that it had to be "economical" to run.

Nothing too economical looking with that setup, what with 14 halide lamps!!!

I hope Energy can come on RC again with an update. This is a gorgeous system that very few could ever hope to keep.

Last I believe was that he was breaking it down due to lack of time to maintain it, Check the last couple of pages

I just did, and there isn't a single post even hinting at that possibility. If you saw it somewhere, please provide a direct link.

Yeah think your right but I could of sworn He was talking about being away for a few months and just braking it down but I looked and i was wrong lol Sorry guys :(

I have seen it twice in person. Once empty and once full. Not sure if I have energy's email anymore but I'll see if I can track him down and see if it is up still

Did any of you guys ever catch any pictures of the foam/epoxy he did with his system. I checked the thread that was dedicated to that kind of procedure but most of it was ranting about how unsafe it was even though people have been doing it for years. I just want to find a good technique that creates very natural scenery and not turk-like formations.

PS: Lunch, I hope you can get ahold of him as an update would be cool. He never did post the picts of the foam technique :(

I also remember Stanley telling me that he and a few others were putting together a book regarding the planning, installation, and maintenance of large reefs... I don't recall seeing anything come to fruition.
